eng:Operator
The operators are people who have learned all their life about the eng:Code of eng:The Matrix and its meaning, they have learned to hack into inner computer systems in the matrix and retrieve information from it.
Operators assist the crew members in the matrix by:
- Jack Out humans out of eng:The Matrix.
- Training them with eng:Training programs, making the lesson receiver a master on the tape's subject (e.g. eng:Neo learns Kung-Fu, eng:Trinity learns how to operate a helicopter) within seconds.
- eng:Jacking the eng:rebels into eng:The Matrix.
- Retrieve information from eng:The Matrix (such as building blueprints, personal bank accounts).
- Hacking into eng:The Matrix, changing it's inner computer network (changing traffic lights, deleting criminal files)
- Getting the rebels out of the matrix by the hard wired phone lines.
Most of the operators are pure humans, which means they have no plugs for a direct connection from the neural system to the matrix. Because of that they have never seen the matrix from the inside and their perception about it is only referring to the translation/interpretation of the matrix code.
