Paycheck (2003)

Running from the FBI and others out to apprehend him for a crime he can't recall, the reverse-engineer finds an envelope from himself with 19 mysterious items that help him evade capture and give him clues about what really happened during his last commission. Star Trek: The Next Generation (TV)

On the starships that appear on the show, most prominently the U. S. S. Enterprise D, is a facility that simulates reality, called the 'holodeck.' The holodeck creates hard light holograms that can mimic any location from jungles on alien worlds to historical periods of Earth's past. Additionally, the holodeck can create realistic characters that interact with users of the holodeck. Several episodes of ST: TNG focused on crewmembers interacting with characters from the holodeck or being trapped inside the holodeck.
